Blog prompt: Write about your first computer.

“Where is the ‘any’ key?”— Homer Simpson, in response to the message, “Press any key”

Well this is going to show out ages 😂

The first time I saw, and got to press keyboard keys on a computer, was when I was around 8 yo. My dad is a physicist and we were visiting him at work, for some reason. He let us play on it, I think it was snakes game. I remember that computer because as a child, to me, it seemed that each key was the size of my first.

It must have been two or three years later, that we got Microsoft desktop computer at home. Everyone was so excited, I remember sitting around that computer and getting giddy. My parents bought it as a replacement for hand typing machine, to write up their PhD thesi.

We, as kids, were only allowed to use it to practice dictation in preparation for test as word would show all errors underlined in red. Occasionally, as a reward, we were allowed to play minesweeper and solitaire.

After that, we moved abroad and computers became a blur as mobile phones were created and started being used.

The next computer that is worth taking about was an HP laptop that I bought for myself. I was working as a Post-Doc and started a Business course that required me to bring laptop to college. So I bought the smallest but powerful, for those times, laptop. Now it would be considered massive 😂

Now, I own my Mac mini and am in love. I use it for my recreation time, crafting, browsing internet, etc.

My newest addition 😍 picture taken by and property of Babybluerascal
