To answer this question I have to work out what age was I at that time. I would have been 14-15 years old.

There were big changes in our family’s life at that time.

We moved to Portugal and my dad was working in University as research postdoctoral scientist. I can’t remember if he was lecturing at that time. I think he was. Mum travelled back home to defend her PhD for a couple of months during that time as well.

We went to school and on weekend, as a family, we would travel around Portugal and play soccer (football) with other families that my dad met in University or through them.

Those were relaxing times, fun times and introduction to a new culture time.
