I can think of a couple: “ Multinational persona” , “Her hate of uncertainty”, “A foreigner”, “Multicultural”.

As a child, I had a very lucky opportunity to grow up in different countries, with different languages and cultures. However, because of it, I also do not think of myself as a person of a certain nationality.

Biologically, I am from Eastern Europe. A mix of Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian. Mentally, I am not. I do not say I am a person from that country. I say I am a multinational who at the moment calls Ireland her home. However, is not tied to one country vs other.

Yes, I lived all of my adult life in Ireland. I am married to an Irish man and my kids are Irish. However, as my father-in-law still jokingly call me, I am a foreigner.

If I go to my country of birth, my language is not right. The way I structure my sentences is not correct and it is evident I do not use that language daily, nor do I think in that language.

I am a mix of all and none, I am a foreigner in my own birth country and the country I live in.

Due to the way I grew up, I also absolutely detest uncertainty. I like knowing where I will be in 5 years time. Any uncertainty about anything, puts me in a stress state until I know what is happening.

So that is why I am trying to make something of my life. As if to prove that I belong.
