Nope.. As a multinational individual, I am not patriotic. All countries I lived in are beautiful and have their own positives and negatives.

Patriotism is when love of your own people comes first.

My love is focused towards my family. Yes, that comes first. Do I love Ireland ? Also, yes. Would I put down my life for it. No.

Perhaps as a result of living in different countries or perhaps of times we live in, I consider patriotism as one of the causes for unrest in the world.

Please don’t come at me for saying this.

I understand that there are other factors in play here.

My husband, being Irish, is extremely patriotic.

I, would take my kids and go to another place if unrest started here. My loyalty is to my family.
