“She’d learned now that the only way to write a list was to finish with something you actually wanted to do.”
– Harriet Evans
To do lists.. my life revolves around them. Mental lists at home for every day tasks, routine tasks to get my family organized.
Family calendar, with to-do and to-go lists so that we don’t miss anything.
Daily work lists, of tasks to be completed, important/urgent first, important/ not urgent next and so on.
Lists for my team in work to ensure that business goals are achieved.
My personal lists for weekends. On Friday I plan out my weekends, Saturday dedicated to kids activities. Swimming, sports, birthday parties. Sunday – cleaning, washing clothes, prep for back-to-school on Monday.
Last on my list is my crafts. If I have time, I will do x y and z. I always want to complete that something. A ‘me’ time, just to focus on my creation, in my office/guest/craft room. That last point on my to do list most often does not get done.
By the time everything else is done, washed clothes are put away, house is clean, lunches are made for kids for next day it’s dinner time. Too late for anything else, perhaps a movie, then bed. At the end of each weekend like this, I am gutted, that yet again no time to complete that point (my most coveted one) on my list.

I’m an avid list maker too. I have a list for everything.

I think at this point in my life , if I didn’t have lists, I would never get anything done 😂🙈
