What bores you?

“If we allow our ‘high creativity’ to remain alive, we will never be bored. We can pray, standing in line at the super market. Or we can be lost in awe at all the people around us, their lives full of glory and tragedy, and suddenly we will have the beginnings of a painting, a story, a song.”
The writer Madeleine L’Engle, on the latent creativity hidden inside boredom.

I don’t think I allow myself to get bored. If something becomes routine, I change it. I find something to do if my minds starts wondering.

I think that is why I have so many hobbies 😅😂

    • The goal was to do it in between and to try and make time. So if I was home full time on maternity leave, I tried to coordinate the nap time and would have take time to myself. The goal is not to spend it doing house chores while they are sleeping but rather try and do those with them in a play manner. Or mostly I do these after kids are in bed and I am sitting in front of tv. But that’s for crocheting and knitting. If it is not possible during the week, on weekend divide the time between you and your partner on one of the days. For example, I will bring my kids swimming one week and my hubby will do it next week. This way we both get a break at that time every other week. Or
If kids are happy out playing and you can keep an eye on them put your sewing machine in the same room. It helps if you make things for kids as they are prone to leave you alone more as they cannot wait to get those things
